In the village alleys of Lake Como you can find, both the most famous brands and small shops of traditional crafts, as silk scarves and wood and leather products and sculptures.
WHERE YOU CAN FIND ITALIAN BRANDS
The most important shopping’s streets in Como are via Boldoni and Luini, via Vittorio Emanuele II, via Indipendenza e Piazza Volta, but you can find the most famous brands in all the city center‘s streets as piazza San Fedele and Contrada San Benedetto. Generally shops open about 9-10 a.m. and close about 7-8 p.m. and the closing day is usually on Monday. Every June and July, on Thursday, shops are open until 10-11 p.m.
CAPITAL OF SILK
Few know that Como is also the silk capital. In fact many shops in the city you can find scarves, ties and other silk products. You can buy silk handicrafts also in one of the factory outlets all over Lake Como. The main streets are Via P. Como‘s Open-air market is located in Via Mentana every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Como‘s Market is set up in a specific building in via Sirtori every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and every Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
