The funicular was developed during the industrial revolution and soon became a symbol of mass tourism. Once you arrived in Brunate you can admire the beautiful Art Nouveau villas and the entire western Alps, the Po Valley and the Apennines, the latter feature that made him known as the “Balcony of the Alps”.
