Villa Balbianello, in Lenno, is a cinematic pedigree Villa. The Villa is situated on the tip of the peninsula Lavedo, a promontory that extends into the Lake Como.
It was built at the beginning of 18th Century by cardinal Angelo Maria Durini and, since 1988 it is property of the FAI.
It was the set of many movies, such as Star Wars: episode II, A month by the Lake and Casino Royale.
You can visit its sculpted gardens, but if you want to visit the Villa, you have to join a guided tour.
